Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Licence to join our team providing a first class service in Wakefield. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate receipt of customer goods into the warehouse, and timely despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible, upholding the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
For your application to be considered, you must hold a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
The Details:
- Salary: Β£28,675.92 per annum (OT paid at time and a half)
- Location: Wakefield (WF2 0XE)
- Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Days
- Start/Finish Times: 06:30 to 18:30
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using internal WMS system, laptop and hand scanners
- Taking receipt of pallets from the production lines and accurately scanning into the warehouse
- Picking orders ready for despatch
- Stock rotation and consolidation
- Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership direct with the customer
- Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all times
- Operating a βclean as you goβ policy to ensure the warehouse is free of excess debris, pests etc.
- Assisting on the loading bay (as and when required)
- Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Supervisor/Manager
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- 1+ year operating a counterbalance FLT
- An in-date, accredited FLT license (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT etc.)
- Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry, but not essential)
Technical Competencies:
- Good eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, be a team player
- Be proactive, use initiative
- Good organisational and time management skills
