Class 1 Driver/Transport Coordinator Duties
- Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of EU Drivers' Hours Rules and Working Time Directive
- Clean or acceptable driving record
- Strong driving skills with the ability to handle articulated vehicles safely
- Excellent knowledge of road safety legislation and transport regulations
- Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects accurately
- Experience in transport or logistics environment (preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of compliance, including drivers' hours, WTD, and fleet standards
- IT skills, including use of TMS systems, Excel, email, and planning tools
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
- Good attention to detail when handling paperwork, bookings, and compliance tasks
- Time management and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and calm approach when dealing with challenges or delays
