Counterbalance Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Counterbalance Driver to join our team in Wakefield. The purpose of the role is to provide accurate receipt of customer goods in to the warehouse, and timely despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse/production area tasks as safely, accurately and efficiently as possible, embedding a strong safety-first culture. Support functions in the production area - replenishing packaging, removing used packaging, placing pallets on to production lines and/or removing for storage or consumption. **Salary: £29,536.22 annual, £13.52 per hour (OT paid at time and a half) * Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Days * Shift Pattern: 06:30-18:30 * Full-time, permanent * Receipting pallets from the production lines and accurately scanning in to the warehouse * Picking orders ready for despatch * Stock rotation (FIFO) and consolidation * Adhering to site, warehouse and production area health and safety rules at all times * Operating a 'clean as you go' policy to ensure the warehouse is free of excess debris, pests etc. * Assisting on the loading bay (as and when required) * 1+ year operating a counterbalance FLT * An in-date, accredited FLT license (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT etc.) * Computer literate * Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry, but not essential) Time For You: Relax with 20 days annual leave. * Your Future: Join our contributory workplace pension scheme for financial security. * Exclusive Discounts: Through your Healthcare Cash Plan you will have access to a discount portal, where you can make savings on travel and hotels, cinema tickets, days out and much more.
