Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to work for our Ellesmere Port depot. The main purpose of the role will be to support with daily deliveries to new and existing customers across the Northern region.
The Details
- Salary: £36,234.62 Annual, £16.59 Per Hour
- Shift: 4 On/4 Off Nights
- 42 Hours Average Per Week
- Start/Finish Times: 17:00 - 05:00 & 18:00 - 06:00
- Monthly Pay
- 20 Days Holiday Per Annum excluding Bank Holidays
HGV Shunter Duties:
- Supporting the depot by loading & unloading onsite trailers
- To carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks prior to commencement of shift complying with appropriate documentation and procedures
- Ensure vehicle load is safe, secure and correctly positioned
- Correctly check and accept load documentation and delivery paperwork
- Correctly check in any returned goods and ensure paperwork is accurate
- Operate vehicle safely, ensuring driver actions do not endanger self or other road users
- Undertake any other reasonable job instruction to support the supply of a quality service to the customer
- Ratchet, Strap & corner management duties.
