Menzies Distribution Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Shift Manager on nights to support the efficient and effective operations at our Biggleswade Depot. The successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse.

- Salary: £43,000 Per Annum
- Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Nights
- Hours: 18:00–06:00

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Managers / Shift Managers in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to optimise productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to utilise flow management techniques and ensure timely and accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Work closely with site SHEQ Coordinator and Training and Compliance Coordinator to ensure full compliance of all colleagues.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a parcel sortation warehouse is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in flow management techniques.
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
