Operations Shift Manager (Days)

Menzies Distribution Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Operations Shift Manager to support the efficient and effective operations at our Biggleswade Depot. You will be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes and compliances are adhered to, with the ability to improve and able to deliver change effectively. This role will ensure that all legislative and regulatory requirements are upheld and the highest standards of health and safety are maintained at all times.

The Details:

• Salary: £35,000
• Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Days
• Hours:
• 42.5 hours per week
• Monthly Pay

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)

• Adherence to H&S monitoring and proactive H&S management
• Establish, monitor and maintain agreed performance levels for all warehouse activity include KPIS
• Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
• Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported (people/plan)
• Effective people management – including RTW/ Training/ Supporting all warehouse activities where required
• Be prepared to cover for warehouse operational lead during periods of sickness & holidays – People management
• Work closely with the site, customer and supplier stock teams ensuring clarity and consistency in all we do
• Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site

Key Experience and Qualifications:

• A professional manner
• Supervisor / Man Management
• Good computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• MHE – Articulated/Counterbalance/PPT licenses preferable
• Effective use of WMS
• Organising Training activities/scheduling
• BRC Awareness

Technical skills and behavioural competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good 'people skills' for working with a range of colleagues and customers
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• To be proactive
