Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for a Training & Compliance Coordinator to join our team based in Normanton. The purpose of this role is to coordinate and deliver professional effective MHE training to both new and existing employees, ensuring that all training is aligned to the business goals and drives improved H&S for all. You will also take the responsibility for improving MHE operator behaviour and ensuring that new starters are inducted and trained correctly.
The Details:
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 (flexibility is required to work alternate shifts to cover training / refreshers as required)

Key Duties and Accountabilities:
- Ensure all visitors are signed in at the site.
- Deliver training when required.
- Work to raise the awareness of H&S throughout the location.
- Provide a source of specialised knowledge and expertise in the field of MHE Training and H&S related issues.
- Provide ongoing H&S/MHE support and training for personnel at the location.
- Ensure the location has a MHE training matrix, planning and organising MHE training and awareness programmes as required.
- Support where required with H&S audits/inspections.
- Ensure all new staff are properly assessed before becoming operational.
- Produce clear and effective training plans in line with business requirements, formulating and delivering workshops to address business needs.
- Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external governing/auditing bodies.
- Coordinate the use of computerised systems used for training purposes.
- Maintain/update the company MHE training matrix.
- Ensuring efficient and effective delivery and implementation of all aspects of MHE practices/processes and procedures.
- Organising MHE Training activities/scheduling and with a flexible approach to employee shift patterns.
- Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company H&S policies and procedures in relation to MHE.
- Monitor agreed performance levels of all MHE operators on site.
- Promote an effective working environment building strong relationships with the warehouse/transport and admin teams.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid RTITB Qualification.
- Knowledge of MHE operations.
- Knowledge of MHE instructions to all users.
- Demonstrate people development skills and the ability to train, coach and develop people in a professional manner.
- Deliver training through one to one and group training presentations.
- Teach new skills / qualifications.
- Deliver presentations/ briefings when required.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Fire Marshall training.
- Racking Inspector trained.
Technical skills and behavioral competencies:
- Self-motivated individual.
