Transport Admin Assistant – Overview
Join to apply for the Transport Admin Assistant role at Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd. We are looking for a candidate with previous transport‑related administration and customer service experience gained within a fast‑paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have some accounting administration background, and can support the smooth operation of our transport department based in Clitheroe.

Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that a good impression is maintained at all times.
- Answer and respond to all incoming calls/emails promptly and politely.
- Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with professionally, friendly and courteous.
- Liaise with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the transport department.
- Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation.
- Produce statistics as and when required.
- Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
- Deal with customer orders to ensure quality accuracy, delivery timelines, instruction and communication to all depot staff.
- Deal with customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure.
- Ensure that customer requirements are administered in a timely controlled and recorded manner.
- Ensure that all work carried out is accounted for and that processes for accurate charging and an auditable trail are in place and followed.

- Previous administration experience.
- Good numeric skills – including accuracy.
