Transport Admin Assistant – Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd

Join our team at Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd in Clitheroe. We are looking for a Transport Administrator with prior transport-related administration and customer service experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.

  • Salary: £12,698 Per Annum
  • Pattern: Monday To Friday
  • Hours Per Week: 20 Hours
  • Hours: 09:00-13:00 (negotiable)
  • Holiday Allowance: 10 Days plus Bank Holidays, if applicable

Key Duties and Accountabilities

  • Engage internal and external customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a good impression at all times.
  • Answer all incoming calls/emails promptly and politely.
  • Handle all customer queries or concerns in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the transport department.
  • Monitor and chase documentation to support transport operations.
  • Produce statistics as and when required.
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
  • Process customer orders ensuring quality accuracy, delivery timelines, instructions and communication to all depot staff.
  • Handle customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure.
  • Ensure customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled and recorded manner.
  • Maintain accurate charging processes and an auditable trail.

Key Experiences and Qualifications

  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel)
  • Previous administration experience
  • Good numeric skills – including accuracy
