Overview
Operations & Compliance Support role at Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd in Wakefield. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide full support to the Transport Team with regard to all transport and compliance administration. Previous transport-related administration, transport operations and compliance experience in a fast-paced distribution environment is desirable. The ideal candidate would be flexible and competent in deputizing for the Transport Supervisor in their absence.

Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Support front of house driver management – pre brief/de brief/ handing out keys/paperwork
- Support supervisors with Track & Trace of fleet
- Support Supervisors with any ESP compliance issues
- Support Supervisors with monitoring Haulage Hub portal
- Support Transport Compliance with admin tasks related to the fleet & drivers – capturing drivers at start or finish of shift for infringements/briefs, OSS Trailer input, Convey & Key2 Admin
- Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with professionally
- Ensure inbound/outbound paperwork (PODS) is completed promptly and accurately – Inmotion management through Track & Trace
- Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet Transport Department needs
- Support customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure
- Enter accurate data on internal systems and reports – Verify/ESP/Key 2
- Maintain data security and integrity in line with business needs
- Provide step up cover for Transport Supervisor in their absence
- Deal with POD queries from customer contracts
- Maintain a safe working environment that complies with the company H&S Policy
Key Experience and Qualifications
- Previous Transport administration/Operations/Compliance experience
- Good numeric skills – including accuracy
Technical skills and behavioral competencies
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Good level of financial understanding
