Role Purpose
The Janitorial Agent is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout airport facilities, including terminals, restrooms, gate areas, offices, and public spaces.
This role ensures a clean and welcoming environment for passengers, airport staff, and visitors while adhering to airport safety, security, and sanitation standards.
- What you will be doing
- Clean and sanitize airport terminal areas, including restrooms, seating areas, gates, hallways, and public spaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness standards
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
- Clean spills and respond promptly to cleanliness or safety hazards
- Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces such as handrails, counters, and door handles
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to supervisors
- Support deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or assigned
- Follow all airport safety, security, and company policies
- Assist with cleaning support during high-traffic periods or special events
- Maintain professionalism while working in passenger-facing environments
- Perform other duties as requested

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Airport terminals, restrooms, gate areas, and public spaces
- Exposure to high-traffic areas and frequent passenger interaction
- Fast-paced environment requiring continuous cleaning and upkeep
- May include indoor and occasional outdoor assignments
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and high-traffic areas
- Must be able to take verbally direct in English
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials
- Identification badges must always be visible
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
