Main accountabilities include
- Must be able to clearly communicate human resources policies, procedures, laws, and company programs.
- Provides internal customer service to management and employees for day-to-day needs.
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Management and Supervisors.
- Works with the GM, YUL and local HR Regional Manager to ensure that all related deliverable items are handled and executed on time.
- Maintain employee files to the standards required by the Menzies 5 Star Audit program.
- Support the management team in arranging and documenting all communications to employees.
- Provides guidance and direction to local management on labour relations and employee relations matters.
- Deal with labor relations grievance procedures and involve Corporate HR as required.
- Oversees and process all new hires, terminations, changes to hours and salary or job title changes, complete necessary paperwork, update employee database, and issue employment contracts.
- Ensure the smooth flow of processes to increase service delivery and value.
- Coordinates with the third-party consultant and internal management on all work-related claims in accordance with WSIB legislation; compile, analyze, interpret and report accidents and injuries in the workplace; liaison with third party vendor to ensure workers return to work, minimizing lost time.
- Ensures tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies.
- Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
- Issue and maintain required reports when required.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, CHRP designation, or working toward same.
- 2 to 3 years’ progressive experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Canada Labour Code
- Experience with Federally regulated employers preferred.
- Experience in the interpretation of collective agreements, related regulations, and laws, demonstrated experience in related human resources functions.
- Hands on self-starter able to work using initiative and without supervision.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills and is detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different geographical and ethnic cultures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Ultipro HRIS.
Additional requirements
- Must be Canadian citizen, legal resident or hold the requisite authority to work in Canada and have a valid license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances.
- When required must be able to lift to 35 lbs.

Les principales responsabilités sont les suivantes

- Travailler avec le directeur général, YUL et le responsable régional des ressources humaines local pour s'assurer que toutes les tâches à accomplir sont traitées et exécutées dans les délais.
- Tenir à jour les dossiers des employés conformément aux normes requises par le programme d'audit 5 étoiles de Menzies.
- Aider l'équipe de direction à organiser et à documenter toutes les communications destinées aux employés.
- Fournir des conseils et des orientations à la direction locale sur les questions relatives aux relations de travail et aux relations avec les employés.
- Gérer les procédures de grief en matière de relations de travail et faire intervenir les RH du siège social si nécessaire.
- Superviser et traiter toutes les embauches, les licenciements, les modifications d'horaires et de salaire ou de titre de poste, remplir les documents nécessaires, mettre à jour la base de données des employés et émettre les contrats de travail.
- Assurer le bon déroulement des processus afin d'améliorer la prestation de services et la valeur ajoutée.
- Assurer la coordination avec le consultant externe et la direction interne pour toutes les demandes d'indemnisation liées au travail, conformément à la législation de la CSPAAT ; compiler, analyser, interpréter et signaler les accidents et les blessures survenus sur le lieu de travail ; assurer la liaison avec le prestataire externe afin de garantir le retour à travail des employés, en minimisant les temps d'arrêt.
- Veiller à ce que les tâches soient exécutées conformément aux procédures et politiques spécifiques de l'entreprise et des compagnies aériennes.
- Être tenu de suivre les formations obligatoires imposées par et en fonction du poste occupé.
- Établir et tenir à jour les rapports requis lorsque cela est nécessaire.
- Autres tâches et missions selon le besoin.
Qualifications et expérience
- Licence ou équivalent, titre de CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) ou en cours d'obtention.
- 2 à 3 ans d’expérience progressive dans un poste similaire.
- Connaissance du Code canadien du travail.
- Expérience auprès d’employeurs sous réglementation fédérale, un atout.
- Expérience dans l’interprétation des conventions collectives, des règlements et des lois connexes, et expérience avérée dans des fonctions connexes en ressources humaines.
- Personne proactive, capable de travailler de manière autonome et sans supervision.
- Excellentes compétences en matière d'organisation, de planification et d'administration, et souci du détail.
- Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles et capacité à communiquer avec des personnes de différents niveaux hiérarchiques et issues de cultures géographiques et ethniques diverses.
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite en anglais et en français.
- Maîtrise de l'informatique, notamment de MS Office et du SIRH Ultipro.
