The Parcel Handling Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of departmental non-exempt employees such as Cargo Office and Warehouse Agents and warehouse leads. The Supervisor will also supervise staff driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles, X-ray units, and handheld scanners. This position will require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.
Main accountabilities include:
- Supervise the e-commerce parcel handling throughout the parcel handling system.
- Utilize all resources to ensure that all parcels are handled safely, securely, and on time.
- Act as the primary contact for the shipper, consignee, and issuing agent for the operation.
- Supervise the parcel screening process and assist with alarm resolution.
- Operate motorized equipment.
- Read and interpret parcel labels, hazardous material identification labels, ULD loading instructions, and cargo routing tags.
- Establish the parcel handler schedule and arrange for coverage in cases of scheduled or unscheduled absence.
- Perform general communication duties including completing, submitting, and filing paperwork, answering telephone(s), radios, and composing emails.
- Complete shift reports and assist the Operations Manager with timecards.
- Ensure the Parcel Handling personnel adhere to safety regulations.
- Prepare disciplinary reports or termination reports as needed for policy violations.
- Assist in preparing performance evaluation forms.
- May operate various ground support equipment occasionally.
- Conduct shift briefings to organize and inform staff.
- Attend mandatory training as required by the company and airlines.
- Conduct operational performance audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of lifting 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal.
- Report deficiencies in products, materials, or documents.
- Suggest improvements, especially related to safety and security.
- Read and sign the relevant manuals including the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual, and the Station Security Manual.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or six months experience as a Freighters Agent/Lead.
