The General Manager will oversee all FOH operations at Shop 146. Responsible for directly managing the team of 2 chefs + 1 barista. Serving all products with friendly and individualised attention towards each customer. Uphold and improve upon all service standards of URBN Food & Beverage. Communicate, analyse and act upon monthly turnover reports.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain the highest level of customer service through a positive attitude and professional behaviour.
- Ensure the team exhibits in-depth product knowledge and understanding of menu items, POS operation, cleanliness standards and general customer queries.
- Ensure the team maintains clean service areas.
- Understand and utilise feedback from colleagues to turn every visit to Shop 146 into an experience.
- Plan and execute events for brand and functions within the parameters set.
- Partner with the chef team in all core functions, including ordering, pricing and selling of goods, food production and prep as well as presentation and Health and Safety compliance.
- Observe preparation and inventory of food and beverage items to minimise waste. Observe size of portions and preparation quantities to minimize food waste.
- Schedule food deliveries while keeping register of the quality of goods delivered and communicate directly with vendors.
- Maintain a professional yet brand appropriate image.
- Organise and monitor staff schedules and ensure proper feedback on attendance levels is given.
- Carry out seasonal appraisals as directed by HR.
