Mentus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with one of the UKs leading providers of Mental Healthcare and specialist support services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join a well-established psychiatric hospital in Hertfordshire. This facility offers a comprehensive range of services including high dependency rehabilitation, acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and community-focused rehabilitation.
Job Purpose
As a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care, supporting a multidisciplinary team and contributing to a person-centred recovery approach. Under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be involved in patient assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and assist in determining appropriate levels of care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the Care Programme
- Prepare clinical documentation including discharge summaries and CPA reports
- Participate in clinical governance, CPD activities, and supervision
- Provide medical cover and participate in the sites on-call rota
- Support the GP in delivering physical health care and emergency treatment
- Mentor new RMOs and provide cover during rest periods
Qualifications & Skills
- MBBS or equivalent
- GMC registered and licensed to practice
- Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPD
- Recent appraisal or RITA
- Inpatient experience with individuals facing complex mental health issues
