Mentus recruitment are working with a leading eating disorder treatment facility to seek a Specialist Clinical Psychologist. The post requires a candidate with some experience of delivering psychological interventions with young people who have eating disorders. You will work with world-leading experts in this field and will be based in North London. Salary is negotiable dependent on your experience.

The Specialist Clinical Psychologist will lead our psychology teams across the group and will play a key role within our clients Multi-Disciplinary Team. Specialist psychology interventions and therapeutic relationships play a huge role in supporting vulnerable young people to overcome their eating disorder and prepare for life outside of hospital. Your professional relationship with the young people will be close, but boundaried, supportive, but firm with the eating disorder. You need to be psychologically strong, and empathic. You will encounter difficult interactions. You will have the full support of your manager, team and regular supportive supervision, as well as access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
The Essential and desirable skills you will need:
- Applicants must have current UK professional registration
- 6 months post qualifying work with young people with eating disorders
- Desirable inpatient CAMHS eating disorder experience
- Computer skills in Electronic Patient Records
- Motivation, enthusiasm, flexibility and self-awareness
- Satisfactory health clearance
- Clear DBS check
- Knowledge of mental health difficulties in young people
- Knowledge of therapeutic relationship principles and the CPA
