We are exclusively partnering with a fully CQC-compliant independent healthcare organisation that delivers bespoke, digitally integrated assessments and treatments for neurodevelopmental profiles across the country. Supported by robust clinical governance and an expert multidisciplinary framework, they offer highly individualised, evidence-based care for conditions including autism and ADHD. As the organisation continues to expand its reach, they are looking for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to bring senior clinical expertise to their neurodevelopmental clinical pathway. Consultant Psychiatrist Child & Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Remote Role Core Purpose of the Role
Acting as a senior clinical authority within the service, you will be pivotal in conducting comprehensive child and adolescent neurodevelopmental evaluations whilst maintaining overarching medical supervision across the pathway. Primary Responsibilities Executing comprehensive ADHD and autism diagnostic evaluations in strict accordance with NICE guidelines and DSM-5 criteria. Producing highly accurate diagnostic reports and clinical documentation within targeted service level agreements. Prescribing, initiating, and monitoring ADHD pharmacological treatments and titration schedules where clinically appropriate. Acting as the senior clinical escalation point to guide the management of highly complex cases within the service pathway. Delivering structured clinical oversight, mentorship, and formal supervision to Specialty Doctors and allied non-consultant healthcare professionals. Playing an active role in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical team meetings. Engaging in vital clinical governance duties, encompassing quality improvement projects, incident investigations, and clinical auditing. Assisting in the continuous refinement of service delivery models and clinical pathways. Delivering a baseline of four extensive diagnostic evaluations weekly, balanced with dedicated time for governance, supervision, reporting, and pathway development. Applicant Requirements Essential Criteria: Full GMC registration with a valid licence to practise as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Entry on the Specialist Register with a CCT in either Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or Learning Disability Psychiatry. Approved Clinician status under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, or the eligibility to obtain this. Substantial practical experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of ADHD and autism. In-depth knowledge of clinical risk protocols, safeguarding procedures, and clinical governance frameworks. Proven capability to function collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams. Excellent interpersonal skills paired with a high level of digital competence. Desirable Criteria: Previous tenure specifically within a dedicated neurodevelopmental diagnostic service. A background in designing clinical pathways or contributing to strategic service enhancements. Working knowledge of CQC standards and independent healthcare regulatory frameworks.
