WELL SERVICES ENGINEER required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Algeria.
DURATION: 12 months on-going
ROTATION: 28 Days On x 28 Days Off
MOBILIZATION: ASAP
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execute a program for well operations to increase production/injection, in the field office. Includes preparation of well activities associated with acid and frac stimulation, asphaltene and salt removal, coiled tubing cleanouts, well tests, SBHP surveys, well integrity and production logs.
- Mentor Algerian engineers in technical and technological processes and work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment.
- Assist in preparing and tracking capital and operating budgets.
- Oversee service contracts, prepare bid packages, and lead quarterly Service Quality Management (SQM) meetings to address performance and improvement areas.
- Work closely with departments such as Maintenance, Construction, Facilities, Drilling, HSE, and Logistics to ensure seamless execution of field operations.
- Optimize equipment usage across fields to meet operational requirements.
- Prioritize safety in all operations by participating in OOPs programs, conducting site management walkthroughs, and adhering to HSE best practices.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 8+ years' experience in operations and production engineering, preferably with greater emphasis on experience in carrying out well interventions, fishing operations, fracture and acid stimulation, cased hole logging, slickline, and coiled tubing operations.
- Strong commitment and record of leadership in safety.
- Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic and/or French is advantageous.
- Excellent computer skills including the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Proficient skills in technical and economic software packages.
