We are working with a global enterprise organisation embarking on a major, multi-billion-pound acquisition, and they are looking for an experienced M&A Integration Programme Director to take overall responsibility for the integration of the two organisations' IT infrastructure.

This is a high-profile, business-critical programme requiring someone who can operate comfortably at enterprise scale and provide strategic leadership across the full infrastructure landscape - including servers, networks, telephony, data centres, end-user technology and associated infrastructure services.

You will take ownership of the infrastructure integration programme from a senior stakeholder perspective, coordinating multiple technical workstreams and ensuring that the acquired organisation is successfully integrated into the wider technology estate.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end IT infrastructure integration programme following a major M&A transaction.
  • Provide strategic direction across infrastructure workstreams including servers, networks, telephony, data centres and other core infrastructure services.
  • Develop and own the overall integration strategy, roadmap, programme plan, governance and delivery framework.
  • Coordinate multiple technical teams, suppliers and third parties across a complex global environment.
  • Work closely with CIO/CTO-level stakeholders, senior technology leadership and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with wider integration objectives.
  • Identify and manage programme-level dependencies, risks, issues and interdependencies across the infrastructure estate.
  • Drive decision-making around integration, migration, rationalisation and transition activities.
  • Ensure technical integration activities remain aligned to the wider M&A separation/integration strategy and business objectives.
  • Establish robust programme governance, reporting and senior stakeholder communication.
  • Provide strong leadership through complex organisational, technical and operational change.

What we're looking for

We are looking for an established Programme Director / Senior Programme Manager with a strong track record of delivering large-scale M&A technology integration programmes.

You’ll need:

  • Extensive experience leading M&A integration programmes within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding across the breadth of IT infrastructure, rather than being specialised in a single infrastructure discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience across areas such as networking, servers, telephony, data centres and enterprise infrastructure services.
  • Experience managing large, complex programmes involving multiple technology workstreams and stakeholders.
  • The gravitas and communication skills to operate effectively with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong programme governance, risk management and dependency management experience.
  • Experience operating within highly complex, global enterprise environments.
  • Experience within hard services / physical infrastructure environments would be highly advantageous.

If you're an experienced M&A Programme Director who has successfully led complex infrastructure integrations at enterprise scale, we'd be very interested in hearing from you.
