You will support the Head of Communications and Marketing Manager to deliver day‑to‑day marketing and communications activity across the programme. You’ll help plan, deliver and evaluate campaigns, creating engaging content across digital, print and media channels. Working closely with colleagues, partners and suppliers, you’ll ensure communications are timely, consistent and of a high standard throughout.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, knowledgeable and supportive Farming Connect team, working alongside programme specialists and digital colleagues who are passionate about improving skills, innovation and sustainability in Welsh agriculture.
A Farming Connect Marketing Officer plays a key role in strengthening engagement between the agricultural sector and advisory services by effectively promoting programmes, events, and resources available to farmers. Through targeted campaigns, digital content, and stakeholder collaboration, they help raise awareness, increase participation in knowledge transfer activities, and support the adoption of best practices across the industry. Your work ultimately contributes to improving farm productivity, business resilience, and sustainability, while ensuring that vital information reaches rural communities in a clear, accessible, and impactful way.

Essential facts about the role:
- Department/programme: Farming Connect
- At the point of advertising this role, the above programme and its roles are funded externally until 31/03/2029, with a possibility of extension until 31/03/2031
- Type of contract: Temporary for approximately 12 months (maternity cover)
- Work pattern: The role is advertised as full‑time (7.5 hours per day, Monday‑Friday). However, we are open to discuss part‑time or flexible arrangements up to 4 days per week and where these meet the needs of the service.
- A full DBS will be required for this role.
