Your role

As a Development Officer in North Ceredigion, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the Farming Connect programme across the county. You will work closely with farmers, agricultural businesses and industry stakeholders to promote services, facilitate knowledge transfer activities, and create opportunities that help farm businesses grow and thrive. The role will involve building strong relationships, organising events and development activities, and ensuring clients receive the support and information they need to make informed decisions for the future of their businesses.

Your impact

As a Development Officer, you will make a real difference to farm businesses and rural communities across South Ceredigion. By building strong relationships, facilitating valuable networks, and connecting people with knowledge, opportunities and support, you will help farmers develop their businesses, adopt new practices, and plan confidently for the future. Your work will contribute to a more productive, sustainable and resilient agricultural sector in Wales.

  • Programme: Farming Connect – Development Team
  • At the time of advertising, the above programme and its roles are funded externally until 31/03/2029, with a possibility of extension until 31/03/2031 .
  • Type of contract: Open-ended
  • Work pattern: The role is advertised as full-time (7.5 hours per day, Monday-Friday).
  • A full DBS will be required for this role
