Refrigeration Field Service and Installation Engineer

Location of the Job
- Home and field based role – paid from door to door.
- West Midlands, North West and North Wales – Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire & North Wales.
Salary and Benefits Package
- Highly competitive salary depending on experience.
- Overtime paid after 40 hours 1.5x, or time off in lieu after 40 hours.

About The Company
A specialist manufacturer of dairy, milking, refrigeration equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out service, preventative and reactive maintenance of farm milk cooling systems across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and North Wales.
- Responding to tank breakdowns within service level agreements – diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, electronic and refrigeration faults in bulk milk tanks and ice builders.
- Installing bulk milk tanks ranging from 1,000 L to 40,000 L capacity, ice builders ranging from 70 kW to 300 kW, heat recovery units, plate coolers, water heaters and condensing units.
- Ensuring farms are meeting relevant F‑Gas regulations and producing F‑Gas certificates.
- Electrical: Experience of testing components from volt‑free to 415 V, ability to trace faults through panels, programme controllers, diagnose & replace faulty parts, motors etc. Wiring of communication cables.
- Refrigeration / Mechanical: Installing milk cooling and associated equipment.
- Brazing, soldering, and plumbing joints.
- Fault finding and replacing parts in a safe and secure manner. F‑Gas qualified.
- Plumbing: fitting of cylinders, water pumps and IBC water tanks.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications
- You will have / be…
- Strong electrical / fault‑finding experience on dairy, milking or refrigeration equipment in a similar role.
- F‑Gas qualified – desirable.
- Confident in fault‑finding, repairs, and installations.
- Living within the territory: Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire or North Wales.
- Happy and willing to travel across the Midlands, North Wales and Cheshire.
- UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
