The Job Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Poultry Farm Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a modern broiler unit in the UK. This hands-on role requires someone with a strong background in broiler production, excellent stockmanship, and a proactive approach to maintaining high welfare, hygiene, and performance standards. You\’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of the unit – from bird health and environmental controls to staffing, compliance, and site efficiency.

Location:
West Midlands

Salary Package:
Between Β£35,000 -Β£45,000 (depending on experience) Basic Salary
+ 3-bedroom accommodation + Benefits

Schedule: Monday to Friday, weekend availability

Key Responsibilities:
Day to day running of the unit.
Responsible for bird welfare and biosecurity.
Oversee operations and manage any issues promptly.
Production Management – breeding, hatching, and rearing.
Team management – training, development, managing schedules, working closely with direct reports.
Managing and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Policy.

Financial management – budgets and forecasting.
Manage stock levels and operational costs.

Candidate Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years\’ experience of poultry management
Skilled in overseeing end-to-end broiler farm operations, with the flexibility to adapt processes to optimise productivity and animal welfare.
Excellent communication skills to develop and support the team.
Attention to detail with strong leadership skills.
Experience of excellent bird welfare and bio security practices.
Experience of Red Tractor Assurance Scheme desirable.
Skilled at managing compliance, regulations and staying up to date with any changes in legislation.
A degree or HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Science or NVQ Level 3 in Poultry Farming (or equivalent) is desirable.
Familiar with herd management software packages such as Poultry Manager, Herdwatch or similar.
