We are recruiting on behalf of an established and forward-thinking poultry business for an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to take responsibility for a brand-new modern poultry unit based in Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced poultry professional looking to take ownership of a well-managed unit and play an important role in its continued development.
The Role
As Poultry Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the farm, ensuring high standards of bird welfare, performance, health, biosecurity and overall farm efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the poultry farm
- Maintaining exceptional bird welfare and health standards
- Monitoring flock performance, feed conversion, mortality and growth
- Ensuring strict biosecurity procedures are followed
- Managing and motivating farm staff where required
- Maintaining accurate farm records and completing relevant paperwork
- Working closely with vets, nutritionists, company representatives and other stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity and farm performance
- Ensuring the farm meets all relevant company, industry and legislative standards
- Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient working environment
About You
We are looking for an experienced Poultry Farm Manager, Broiler Farm Manager or experienced Assistant Farm Manager with a strong understanding of modern poultry production.
You will ideally have:
- Previous commercial poultry farming experience
- Strong knowledge of broiler production
- Excellent understanding of bird welfare and biosecurity
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of the farm
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for poultry production and achieving excellent results
