The Job Role Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Farm Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of machinery, vehicles, buildings, and site infrastructure across the farm operation. This is a varied and practical role involving planned servicing, reactive repairs, and general maintenance duties to minimise downtime and support efficient operations. Working closely with the Repairs and Maintenance Manager and wider farm team, you will help ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard and remain safe and operational at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned servicing, inspections, and reactive repairs on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely manner
- Perform machinery and vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Undertake building, structural, and general site repairs
- Assist with maintenance of site systems including heating and infrastructure
- Support preventative maintenance planning
- Assist with sourcing and collecting parts as required
- Maintain machinery and equipment in safe working condition
- Complete maintenance records and timesheets accurately
- Work collaboratively with other departments to minimise downtime
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow safe systems of work at all times
- Practical maintenance experience within agriculture, construction, engineering, or a similar hands‑on environment
- Good mechanical knowledge and fault‑finding ability
- Experience servicing and repairing machinery or vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Previous agricultural or farm maintenance experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge
- Experience maintaining buildings and infrastructure
- Relevant engineering or maintenance qualifications
Working Hours: Full‑time role with flexibility required depending on operational demands.
