A farming company with a focus on arable crops; cereals and potatoes.
The Job Role:
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced farm worker to join a growing team.
Location:
Herefordshire
Salary Package:
£35,000 - £42,500 basic salary which is inclusive of 500 hours overtime.
After 500 hours overtime has been reached an hourly overtime rate will be paid alongside the regular salary. This rate will depend on the experience of the candidate.
Accommodation is available, suitable for one person with shared facilities.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 39 hours a week. During busy periods, you will be expected to work overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Fendt 728 to carry out all combinable crop drilling using our 6m Horsch Avatar
Fertilizer Spreading
Primary cultivations
General tractor operations involving all aspects of planting and harvesting all crops
Irrigation duties
Potential for relief combining for the right candidate
De-stoning
Cultivating
Drilling
Fertiliser logistics
Irrigation duties
All aspects of harvest work
The role is varied, and no two days are the same
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
Must have previous experience in operating farm machinery, at least 10 years.
Previous drilling experience
Previous experience working with potatoes is preferred but not essential
A strong attention to detail
Basic maintenance understanding to look after tractors and machinery
Ability to manage own workload
Pro-active and can-do attitude
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Telehandler/forklift/PA1/PA2 tickets are all desirable but not necessarily essential
Any other relevant qualifications and certificates to the above role would be beneficial
Other:
A Full UK Driving Licence
Combine Harvester operating experience is desirable but not essential
