Location of the Job: Home-office and field-based. Covering the North West, North East and Scotland. Overnight stays when required.

Salary and Benefits Package: £44,000 – £50,000 basic salary DOE. Company truck and fuel card. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Life insurance / death in service. Income protection scheme. Private medical insurance. Pension plan. Laptop, mobile phone and iPad.

Additional information: This is a permanent, full‑time position. Due to the nature of the role there will be times where you will be required to work away from the home office depending on the needs of the business (this will include a number of nights away from your home throughout the year). Working hours are 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday with a 45min lunch break. You may be required to work additional hours of the day as reasonably necessary.

The Job Role Details: Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for providing both technical, sales and after‑sales support within your designated geographic area – North West, North East and Scotland. You will plan, organise and execute specialist company demonstrations and be responsible for the complete organisation and management of UK shows and exhibitions and associated advertising, marketing & social media activities. In this role you will work closely with the Territory Managers to promote sales and alongside the National Aftersales Manager to provide a high level of aftercare support. A critical element of the role is customer relationship management (CRM), to build relationships with all stakeholders at all levels across both sales and after‑sales. This is a key position within the business to support dealers – providing training, support, and guidance in both the product sales & after‑sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and increase sales of products in conjunction with the Territory Managers.
  • Reach or exceed the targets and goals (KPIs) set for your geographic area.
  • Increase business opportunities by identifying new prospects/products/services by undertaking data research, analysis and reporting.
  • Organise and attend factory visits, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent after‑sales support.
  • Deliver training and development.
  • Plan, organise and attend at agricultural shows regional, national and occasionally international.
  • Set‑up and conduct demonstrations of equipment optimising the performance of machinery, ensuring that all machinery or equipment is built, prepared and checked in preparation of the demonstration.
  • Ensure all items on weekly work plan / job sheet are completed on time.
  • Timely production of weekly / monthly reports to include personal expenses claims.
  • Organise and execute training sessions (either technical or sales related) to employees, dealers and / or end users and farmers.
  • Respond to / or diagnose and resolve customers technical, parts or sales enquiries whether face to face, phone, text or email.
  • Liaise with the Area Sales Manager, Territory Manager or UK sales office where necessary.
  • Social media marketing activities – create, curate and manage published content (images, video & written) to improve SEO and brand awareness.
  • Assist with marketing activities.
  • Attend, plan, coordinate, and manage dealer open days / evening events / factory visits.
  • Assist with machinery installation and sales / after‑sales administration.
  • Maintain inventory records of stock / consignment machines.
  • Provide retail support, during Territory Managers absence or busy periods.
  • Ensure all sales / parts leads are swiftly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate machinery records and demo bookings.
  • General maintenance, repair and detailing of both equipment and machines.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the company’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Be responsible for safe storage of tools and equipment.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong technical understanding of agricultural and farming machinery.
  • Recent experience in a similar technical support, after‑sales or Agricultural Engineer role.
  • Happy to travel across your territory – North West, North East and Scotland.
  • Ideally located and living central to the territory: Glasgow / Scottish Borders / Dundee / Ayrshire / Edinburgh / Central Belt of Scotland.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills.
