Are you an organised and conscientious person who works well in a team?

Your role:

  • You will provide high quality administrative and financial support, including preparing financial claims, monitoring project budgets and outputs, and maintaining accurate records.
  • You will also support the day-to-day coordination of the project, ensure compliance with funding and data protection requirements, and contribute to the team's wider activity, including collaborating with partners and providing occasional support for marketing and communications activities.

Your team and your peers:

This is an opportunity to join a team that is focused on improving the responsible use of antibiotics on livestock farms in Wales. Arwain DGC is a project made up of partners from different organizations namely Mentera, Bristol University, Aberystwyth University, Iechyd Da and WLBP. You will be part of the Mentera team, and work closely with the Marketing Leader and collaborate with the project partners as well.

Your impact:

  • This position is a vital link between all team members, within Mentera and beyond.
  • Ensure that the project's activities are delivered effectively by ensuring sound financial administration, accurate reports, and timely claims that comply with the funders' requirements.
  • Strengthen the decision‑making process by clearly monitoring budgets, using reliable data and maintaining well‑kept records that give confidence to project leaders and partners.
  • Keep projects running smoothly by providing reliable day‑to‑day administrative coordination and acting as a key support point across the project team.
  • Improve collaboration and reach by working closely with partners and contributing to the wider activities of the team, including occasional support for marketing and communications activities.

Type of contract: Open‑ended

Working pattern: Three days a week, 0.6 FTE (7.5 hours a day)
