MHS is currently seeking a full-time, 40 hour per week Administrative Assistant, primarily located at our offices in Madison County. There may be some cross-training and coverage at our location in Clark County as needed.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:

  • Answering phones
  • Greeting clients
  • Entering information
  • Processing payments
  • General customer service

Administrative Assistants with MHS support our outpatient clinics for both behavioural health and primary care teams. Prior experience working with mental/behavioural health clients or addiction clients is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems is required. This is a fast-paced office serving both Clark and Madison County clients, based out of our Behavioural Health (BHR) offices.

This position may require you to drive in the community in both Clark and Madison counties, utilizing your own vehicle (reimbursement available for mileage and vehicle use). You must meet MHS insurance requirements to be considered for the position.

Candidates must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a mental or behavioural health office setting preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant beneficial but not required
  • Ohio Driver's license and state required minimum auto insurance coverage

MHS provides CPR/First Aid and NVCI (CPI Blue) for all new staff, along with ongoing education and on-the-job training opportunities.

All MHS candidates are required to have an Ohio BCI check (FBI check required if you have lived in Ohio for less than 5 years, or for working with children) and a 5-panel drug screen upon conditional offer of employment. Residential candidates require a 2-step TB test upon offer of employment.
