The purpose of the role is to provide leadership and management to deliver high quality, safe and effective Crisis services in support of the organisation's mission, values and strategy. You will be ensuring the team are responsive to the needs of people in an honest, non-judgemental and open manner which respects the rights of individuals and groups.

Main duties include:

  • Ensuring the team are responsive to the needs of people in an honest, non-judgemental and open manner.
  • Promoting the profile and reputation of MHM by building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

About the role:

This role supports operations, working with teams across Kent and Medway, focusing on our Community services operating 6pm-11pm. The role is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, however there will need to be flexibility to support service visits within operational hours. The Kent safe havens are an out of hours crisis alternative to Accident and Emergency for individuals facing crisis or heading towards a mental health crisis.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and organised person to work with the team to focus support to our clients who have a range of mental health needs as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • An understanding of the mental health landscape within Kent and Medway.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience of systems and data recording.
  • Advanced understanding of complex mental health needs.
  • The ability to engage with a range of people.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Financial management experience.
  • People management experience.
