About Mirren Park School: Mirren Park School supports young people aged 11 to 18 with a wide range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs, autism and complex presentations. We deliver a full curriculum experience that is structured to be supportive, relevant and engaging, enabling young people to re‑engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Role Requirements:
- An appropriate teaching qualification
- Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland in Mathematics, or eligibility and willingness to obtain registration
- Ability to plan, deliver and develop a relevant and engaging mathematics curriculum
- Strong classroom organisation and supportive behaviour management skills
- Ability to assess, track and report on pupil progress to inform learning and teaching
- Ability to prepare pupils for qualifications or accreditation appropriate to their needs and next steps
- Actively contributing to the school community and its positive ethos
- Ability to contribute to school improvement planning and self‑evaluation
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and supporting the development of colleagues, including probationer and student teachers
Experience within an additional support needs or specialist setting is welcomed but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.
