Position: Personal Service Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours per week / $24.00 per hour

Summary: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Personal Service Coordinator (PSC) provides support to the daily operation of the Homeless Service Center, which offers access to basic services, harm reduction, safety classes, information and referrals, and case management for homeless individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use challenges, and engaging in sex work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete intakes and track members entering into the Homeless Service Center.
  • Provide supply distribution, trainings, and safety courses.
  • Assist and support members with barriers and link them to supportive services such as employment, medical care, and documentation support.
  • Ensure members are linked to medical and mental health care, safe substance use services, and overdose prevention education.
  • Provide individualized coaching in budgeting skills, hygiene, meal preparation, public transportation, and other independent living skills.
  • Ensure all member interactions are person-centered, goal-focused, and in line with evidence-based practices.
  • Advocate on behalf of members and provide mediation as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation for program compliance and accountability.
  • Attend ongoing training for professional growth.
  • Report abuse as a mandated reporter.

Other Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, plus two years’ experience in social services.
  • Knowledge of community resources and compassion for homeless individuals.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a current class C driver’s license, a vehicle for transportation, and proof of valid automobile insurance.
  • TB clearance and re-testing every year are conditions of continued employment.
  • Employment verification from three past employers within the most recent 7-year period.

Salary: $24.00 per hour
