We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Fund Raiser to join our advisory board to help scale the growing Charity.
About us: The Menopause Research & Education Fund (MREF) is a small but fast-growing charity based in the UK. We focus on fostering and delivering research into menopause and its impact on the workplace, physical and mental health, as well as the long list of conditions affected by menopause that remain under-funded and under-researched despite affecting our long-term health. We also provide targeted education and information to healthcare professionals and all those who go through menopause or support them.
We are currently at a pivotal stage and are looking for a new member of our board who has strong strategic skills as well as hands-on experience in fundraising/business development, who can help us deliver our mission.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Support and shape our fundraising strategy and scale it
- Build and foster corporate and strategic partnerships
- Open doors to new fundraising streams
- Provide counsel and strategic advice to the CEO
- Actively engage with the executive team
Skills required:
- Demonstrable experience in charity or similar fundraising
- Business development and scaling an organisation
- Leading strategic growth in a mission-led organisation
Nice to have:
- Experience in the health, well-being or social impact sectors
- Communications or public affairs experience
This is a voluntary role at this stage which provides the opportunity to shape an organisation from the ground up as well as deliver meaningful change to improve women’s health in the UK and across the globe.
