We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our UK Engineering team. The role focuses on building and maintaining analytical data models, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and driving data quality and performance across our platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain high quality datasets for engineering and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to assess and mitigate the impact of upstream product changes.
- Apply domain knowledge to develop semantic layers for business intelligence.
- Develop data models optimized for efficient querying over large datasets for reports embedded within our main platform.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in transforming, testing and documenting data while maintaining robust data lineage.
- Knowledgeable in data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Experience following software engineering best practices such as version control and continuous integration.
- Strong proficiency using SQL in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) with performance optimisation, data partitioning and window functions.
- Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in ambiguous situations, given high‑level direction.
- Experience with dbt for data transformation layer.
- Experience with BI tooling such as PowerBI or Looker.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
