Menlo Security is looking for a talented engineering manager to join our UK Threat Infrastructure team. You will manage employees located across several geolocations and will contribute technical leadership to the team that extends and supports management tools for our world‑class remote browser technology. Menlo serves millions of users on our worldwide cloud on desktop and mobile platforms. We’re looking for a strong leader to guide and mentor the team in the architecture, design, development, deployment, and monitoring of our threat infrastructure products. The management team is highly experienced and collegial, with a strong design and code review culture. We encourage candidates with experience in browser technology areas to apply if you feel your skill set can be applied to new challenges. The position is full‑time and either remote (UK time zone) or based in our Bracknell, UK office.
Your Experience Requirements for the role include:
- Deep understanding of backend development experience using one or more modern programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Node.js, and Go, in a Linux environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, terraform and helm.
- Strong knowledge of modern development practices, including automated testing, build tools, and UI/UX principles.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable web application architectures.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring high performing software development teams.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, and debug complex issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, ambitious, with a strong ability to learn new technologies.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- 2+ years of experience in leading and building high-performing engineering teams, attracting top talent with diverse skills, and hands‑on management (including responsibilities such as performance reviews, talent assessment, onboarding and training new team members, etc.).
- BSc or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
