This is a superb opportunity for a passionate and experienced Farm Veterinary Surgeon able to work independently without supervision and to handle a variety of cases, to join a very reputable and highly regarded independent veterinary practice near Penrith.

Here you will benefit from working within an established team of 3 vets, 2 RVNs as well as a number of support staff. The practice is a mixed practice but predominantly dealing with farm animals, with an established client base of dairy, beef and sheep farmers.

A full-time role would consist of a 4-day week, with an equal share of on-call duties. Fantastic career development available with strong support for vets wanting to grow and develop within the role, encouraging progression with certificates and courses in any specific areas of interest. Potential for partnership further down the line as well if desired.

Salary: £38,000 - £60,000 DOE + 28 days annual leave + Pension + CPD allowance + RCVS and VDS membership + work phone and fully equipped vehicle.

Location: Penrith

The Practice: Independently owned and run as a well-respected practice for the local community. A passionate approach to veterinary care where patient welfare comes first. Mainly farm focused but with some exposure to small animal care. Strong staff retention with some members of the team being here for years. Supportive of career progression/development for Vet Surgeons.

Your Role: A qualified Farm Veterinary Surgeon able to work independently without supervision and to handle a variety of cases and with a valid license to practice in the UK. Preference for full-time but open to considering part-time hours as well. Equal share of on-call duties. Focus on delivering the highest quality care to all patients. A nice, varied caseload with excellent career progression opportunities and potential opportunity for partnership down the line.
