We have a fantastic opportunity for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support a GP surgery that is proud of its longstanding relationship with patients and its family practice approach to healthcare. This role will have a strong Diabetes focus.
The practice requires Locum ANP support for the next 2–3 months, with the successful ANP needing prior Diabetes experience to support diabetic patients effectively. Previous Primary Care experience is essential, alongside Independent Prescribing qualifications. Cover is needing to start ASAP. Experience with SystmOne would also be advantageous.
Salary: £45-50 per hour
Location: Scunthorpe
The surgery:
- Multi-site practice
- CQC rated Good
- c.20,000 patients
- Open 8am – 6:30pm
- Friendly team with a genuine family practice feel
- Great clinical and administrative support
Your role:
- Core hours are 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
- Some flexibility available around timings, although 9am – 4pm is crucial timing to cover
- Locum ANP support required initially for 2–3 months
- Ability to work autonomously with clinical decision making and prescribing
- Work collaboratively alongside GPs, reception, and administrative teams
- Appointments will vary depending on patient need, including detailed reviews where appropriate time will be allocated
- Diabetes experience is essential
- Primary Care experience is essential – minimum of 2 years required
- Independent Prescribing qualification essential
- Familiarity with SystmOne advantageous
- Must be qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with full NMC registration
