Night Veterinary Surgeon – Advanced Hospital Practice – Batley, West Yorkshire We're proud to be working with a large, highly regarded veterinary hospital that is looking to strengthen its dedicated night team with an experienced Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon. OOH and ECC caseload 30-minute emergency consultations as standard Emergency surgeries performed overnight as required Focused ECC work while the day team manages routine and chronic care You will be supported by a
dedicated night team , including: Night Registered Veterinary Nurse Night Veterinary Care Assistant Receptionist until 10pm Twilight nurse until midnight The role would particularly suit vets with an interest in
ECC, emergency surgery or internal medicine , and candidates must be comfortable managing emergency cases independently. The Practice This is a
large, purpose-built veterinary hospital

15 veterinary surgeons and more than 20 nurses , creating a highly collaborative environment with excellent support at all levels. The hospital also acts as a

Facilities include: 7 consultation rooms including a dedicated feline consult and end-of-life suite 4 operating theatres including a high-end dental suite Digital X-ray Advanced ultrasound with Doppler Visiting CT scanner (soon to be permanent) Flexible gastroscope and bronchoscope Video otoscope and rigid endoscopy Laparoscopy equipment Dental radiography suite Full in-house laboratory and transfusion medicine Multiparameter monitoring including ECG, capnography and blood pressure Clinical Caseload As a hospital-level practice and referral hub for multiple surrounding clinics, the emergency caseload is
busy and varied . Night vets regularly manage procedures such as: Caesarean sections Pyometra surgery Exploratory laparotomy Enterotomy and enterectomy You will also manage complex medical emergencies including: Addisonian crises Diabetic ketoacidosis Severe pancreatitis Critical inpatient care This role would suit a vet who enjoys
hands-on ECC work and clinical problem solving . What They're Looking For The ideal candidate will be: A confident GP or ECC-focused vet Comfortable managing emergency cases independently Strong communicator with excellent clinical judgement Team-focused and keen to engage in clinical discussions UK experienced and confident with inpatient care This is a practice that values
