This is a superb opportunity for a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon, with a strong background in consults and surgery, to join a very highly regarded Independent veterinary practice. Here you will benefit from working alongside a dedicated team of 7 experienced Vet Surgeons, supported by 7 RVNs, 2 Student Nurses, and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants. You will work within a spacious practice with plenty of consult rooms and theatres, all modern equipment, and work to slightly longer appointment times of 20 minutes as standard.
Work-life balance and staff happiness are extremely important factors; as a result, you will benefit from no OOH or nights and only 1 in 4 weekends required (just Saturday mornings). The practice prides itself on providing the best quality care to patients and allows longer consult times for Vets to spend time with the animals and to put them at ease before consulting. Career development and progression are very much encouraged as the practice is happy to support you with CPD, certificates, and further training. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Vet Surgeon looking for a varied and engaging caseload to work alongside other experienced Veterinary Surgeons and to put the emphasis on patient care.
Salary: Β£45,000 - Β£70,000 DOE + 5 weeks annual leave + Bank holidays + Pension + CPD allowance + Professional fees paid + Discount on services for your pets.
The practice is independently owned and run as a well-established practice for the local community, with a passionate approach to veterinary care where welfare comes first and the animal is always prioritised. Requirements:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Preference for full-time (4 days per week) but open to considering part-time hours as well.
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings β finished by 12:30.
- Focus on delivering the highest quality care to all patients.
- A nice, varied caseload with plenty of opportunity for surgery.
