Are you an experienced Primary Care Practice Manager looking for a genuine leadership opportunity within a large, forward‐thinking GP practice? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‐established, mid‐sized, two‐site practice in Hertfordshire that is investing heavily in its long‐term operational future. The Partners are seeking an experienced and confident Practice Manager who can provide visible leadership, oversee governance and compliance, and help shape the strategic direction of the organisation with strong infrastructure already in place. This position offers the opportunity to focus on leadership and operational oversight rather than constant day‐to‐day firefighting.

Location: Ware, Hertfordshire.

Practice Details:

  • Mid‐sized two‐site GP practice operating as one cohesive organisation.
  • Training practice supporting GP registrars and medical students.
  • Approximately 40 staff across the wider team.
  • Strong existing management structure, including an Operations Manager and Reception Supervisor.

Your Role:

  • Full‐time Practice Manager position working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Leadership‐level role with direct involvement alongside the GP Partners.
  • Responsibilities include governance, compliance, HR, finance and operational oversight; lead on CQC readiness, policy development and organisational processes; oversee communication and standards across a sizeable multidisciplinary workforce; split time relatively evenly across both practice sites; attend partner meetings and contribute to wider strategic planning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • An experienced NHS General Practice Manager able to operate autonomously from day one.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Circa £50,000–£60,000 DOE with flexibility for the right candidate.
