Veterinary Surgeon – Brand New Coastal Practice
Exciting opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new, independent veterinary practice on the North-East coast.
We’re thrilled to be supporting the opening to a brand-new, Independent, purpose-built, standalone practice – right across from the beach – they’re looking for a confident and capable vet to take the lead in this exciting venture.
The Opportunity
- Sole charge role, ideal for a confident vet looking for autonomy or a step towards leadership.
- 4-day working week with no weekends initially and no out-of-hours.
- 15-minute consultations and realistic daily caseloads.

Near Marske-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire
The Practice
The new site is set to open in September 2025 and will operate independently with the support of our sister team. You’ll be the first vet at the branch, with plans to grow to 2 vets and 4–5 nurses over the next 6–12 months.
Facilities include:
- Digital X-ray
- In-house lab
- 3 consult rooms and 1 theatre
With experienced RVNs and a supportive leadership team, they’re committed to high standards and patient-first care without corporate interference. Clinical interests are actively supported – they’ll even buy you out of a certificate if it aligns with their growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Confident working sole charge.
- 2+ years’ experience (practical confidence more important than exact time served).
- Skilled in general practice: consulting, surgery, and routine internal medicine.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative.
- Open to progression into a senior or lead vet role.
What They Offer
- Salary between £55,000 – £70,000 DOE.
- £1500 CPD allowance with full certificate support.
- 4-day week, 8:30am–6:30pm.
- No OOH, no bank holidays, no weekends (initially).
- 15-minute consults with admin time included.
