Salaried GP – Up to £12,000 per Session | Minimal Home Visits | Structured Day | Near Spennymoor
A genuinely manageable GP workload. This is a well-structured 6-session role within a small, established practice, offering a highly organised working day, minimal home visits, and strong MDT support. While you will be the sole GP on-site for your days, you are backed by a wider clinical network, meaning you are never truly working in isolation.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £12,000 per session
- Indemnity covered
- Strong organisational and clinical support network
- Informal visit available prior to interview
- 6 sessions (Wednesday–Friday)
- 9am–6pm working day (111 cover after 6pm)
- No traditional duty doctor model
Appointments:
- Morning: 15 patients (6 calls, 9 F2F)
- Afternoon: 13 patients (4 calls, 9 F2F)
- Mix of 10-minute calls and 15-minute F2F
- Minimal home visits
- Daily visit slot rarely used and often becomes admin time
- Meetings scheduled during sessions, replacing clinical slots
Clinical Support
- ANP support every day
- Highly developed pharmacy team: Senior Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician
- Additional PCN pharmacy support → GPs largely not dealing with medication queries
- Full PCN MDT, including: First Contact Mental Health, First Contact Physio, Care Coordinators (including dedicated support for complex patients)
- Safeguarding leadership in place
- Backed by a wider clinical leadership structure
