Clinical Director in Reading

£75,000 – £80,000 per annum + up to 20% bonus, 5 weeks holiday, 4‑day week.

Overview

We are an independent, modern veterinary practice in Reading looking for a Clinical Director to lead both clinically and culturally. The role is hands‑on leadership, not just rota management.

The Role

• 4‑day week (30–40 hours, flexible)
• No out‑of‑hours work – covered externally
• Approximately 5 surgeries per day – room to increase

The CD will shape clinical standards, grow the surgical caseload, and drive a culture of client experience and team cohesion.

• Strong clinical standards and surgical bias (beyond routine neuters)
• Able to mentor, guide, and bring people together
• Confident and respected, warm, human and approachable

Salary & Bonus

• Bonus up to 20% of salary
