Salaried GP | Hemel Hempstead Background This is a large, well-established practice built around genuine teamwork rather than personal list holding.

With flexible hybrid working, protected appointment numbers and one of the country's most established total triage models, this is a rare chance to join a busy, well-supported team that takes workload sustainability seriously.

Location The practice is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, within easy reach of St Albans, Watford and Aylesbury, all around 20 to 30 minutes by car.

Hemel Hempstead also has a direct rail link into London Euston in around 35 minutes, making it a realistic option for anyone wanting easy access to the capital without living in it.

The Practice Large, well-established practice with a growing patient population Large partnership team, with Partners actively absorbing overflow work rather than passing it to salaried colleagues Large salaried GP team, offering genuine peer support Recognised pioneer of total triage, having run a structured model since before the pandemic Protected, fixed appointment numbers per session, backed by strong wider clinical and administrative support Modern, purpose-built and highly digitalised surgery CQC rated Good Your Role Flexible hybrid working, with a mix of home and surgery-based sessions each week4 to 6 permanent sessions available, with scope to work flexibly across the week Genuine choice over on-call: opt in for a higher sessional rate, or opt out entirely and work the standard rate Fixed appointment numbers per session, with no expectation of absorbing unlimited extras Very limited home visiting, managed through existing structures rather than falling to individual GPs Candidates with a little post-CCT experience are preferred, though strong newly qualified GPs will be considered Salary and Benefits11,500 per session, rising to 12,650 per session for GPs participating in the on-call rota, which applies to all of that GP's sessions Indemnity and professional fees covered NHS Pension scheme6 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays1 week study leave BMA model contract You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
