The Locum GP role is available from 1 June and requires 6 sessions per week. Thursday and Friday are non‑negotiable; the remaining day can be any other day of your choice.

Salary & Location

Competitive day rate ranging from £700 to £850 per day. Practice located in Cockermouth, within a modern building with views over the Lake District. The facility offers bright consulting rooms and a multidisciplinary team including ANPs, nurses, a paramedic and pharmacists.

Your Role

  • Provide general practitioner care during 6 scheduled sessions per week.
  • 13 patients per session (26 patients per day).
  • Standard day from 08:30 to 17:45.
  • Minimal home visits required.
  • Mix of face‑to‑face and telephone consultations.
  • Duty rota involvement necessary for long‑term locums.

Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified General Practitioner registered with the GMC.
