The practice maintains a close‑knit team with a strong staff retention record and offers a pathway for a GP to progress into a trainer role following the departure of the previous trainer.
The practice is located in Bicester, within commuting distance to Oxford (≈30 minutes by car), Banbury and Buckingham. The area has seen substantial growth, benefiting from a strong pool of locally based GPs and good road links. The practice is a long‑standing veteran in GP training. It enjoys a CQC “Good” rating and is supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes advanced nurse practitioners, paramedics and pharmacist support.
In this salaried GP role you will:
- Deliver a minimum of 6 sessions per month, with flexibility on which days you work.
- Maintain your own personal lists with continuity of care as a priority.
- Work in a manageable, well‑structured day with dedicated admin time built around clinics.
- Participate in a light on‑call burden; the duty doctor will conduct pure triage only, occurring approximately once a fortnight.
- Engage with a supportive team culture that includes coffee breaks, a full lunch and a fortnightly GP meeting integrated into the week.
- Have genuine scope for partnership for the right candidate over time.
You must be a qualified General Practitioner, registered with the GMC and the UK performers list.
Salary: £11,661 per session.
