Two Salaried GP roles have opened up at a well‑established training practice in Bicester, offering a rare opportunity to join a genuinely close‑knit team with one of the strongest staff retention records in the area. For a GP looking to develop into a trainer role themselves, there is a real, practice‑supported pathway into this following the departure of the previous trainer.
The practice is based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, within easy commuting distance of Oxford (around 30 minutes by car), as well as Banbury and Buckingham. The area has grown substantially in recent years and benefits from a strong pool of GPs living within commuting distance, alongside good road links.
The Practice
- Long‑established GP training practice, with genuine scope to develop into a trainer role following the recent departure of the previous trainer.
- Genuinely friendly, close‑knit team with a strong track record on staff retention.
- Manageable, well‑structured day with dedicated admin time built around clinics rather than squeezed in.
- Very light on‑call burden, with the duty doctor carrying out pure triage rather than seeing patients, roughly once a fortnight.
- Mid‑sized practice supported by a broad multidisciplinary team, including advanced nurse practitioners, paramedics and pharmacist support.
- CQC rated Good.
