An excellent opportunity for a Locum GP to join a large, well-established practice from the 1st June. The practice is seeking support for 6 sessions per week. Thursday and Friday are non-negotiable days, but the other day can be one of your choosing. Initially, this cover will be for up to 3 months but may be extended if the practice requires. The role offers a competitive day rate and the chance to support a practice undergoing positive change with a strong clinical and management foundation. A great opportunity for regular locum sessions in a practice with manageable workloads, regular breaks and a focus on staff wellbeing.
Salary: £700 – £850 per day
Location: Cockermouth
The Practice:
- Large practice based within a bright modern building with views over the Lake District Fells
- Bright, spacious consulting rooms with excellent facilities
- Strong, experienced multidisciplinary team including ANPs, nurses, paramedic and pharmacists
- EMIS Web clinical system
- Supportive clinical and non-clinical and management team
- High QOF achievement and focus on continuous improvement
Your role:
- Locum GP - 6 sessions per week – days must be Thursday and Friday, and open to any other day of your choosing
- 13 patients per session (26 per day)
- Standard day 08:30–17:45
- Duty rota involvement needed for long-term locums
- Minimal home visits
- Mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations
You must be a qualified General Practitioner on the GMC Register.
