SLC is a flexibly deployed environment for SAS language development and execution. SLC runs programs written in the SAS language, but it also supports Python, R, and SQL. It allows combining code written in any of these languages making it the perfect way to facilitate major modernization projects as well as maintain libraries of SAS language programs at reduced cost.

We are seeking a technical consultant to support account executives in all phases of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers and prospects, leading conversations to gather high-level business and technical requirements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and activities, assessing feasibility and effort in porting existing SAS code to be executed in SLC.
  • Review existing and target IT infrastructure, ecosystems, and Statistical Computing Environments, providing architectural guidance for deploying SLC.
  • Aid customers in porting their existing SAS language code to run in SLC.
  • Scope and conduct successful pilots and proof-of-concept activities with prospects interested in exploring the feasibility of SLC as a SAS language capability within their current and target architectures, where SAS language execution, code portability, performance, compatibility, and modernization are key decision factors.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the SAS language and statistical programming within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Create and conduct industry specific software demonstrations.
  • Onboard and support service and technology partners in presenting SLC to the industry.
  • Author and present pertinent pharma industry specific papers and presentations in webinars and at pharma community conferences and events.
  • Participate in and lead pharma industry projects related to statistical programming.
  • Orchestrate and lead workshops showcasing SLC.
  • Lead and provide input to RFI and RFP responses.
  • Own the technical relationship throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with SLC product team, feeding real-world customer insights back into the product roadmap, ensuring SLC is meeting the demands of the pharmaceutical industry.

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience programming in the SAS language.
  • Deep understanding of Statistical Programming within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication skills, explaining complex problems in simple terms.
  • Ability to influence executives and guide enterprise-scale technology adoption.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience conducting and running workshops.
  • Practical experience in customer-facing technical roles (PreSales, Solutions Consulting, Technical Consulting, Training, Business or Technical Support or similar).
  • Strong ability to explain and demonstrate SAS language behavior, compatibility considerations, migration patterns, and performance implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and running proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations with clear success criteria and structured outcomes.
  • Confident presentation skills: ability to deliver technical demos, workshops, and architecture discussions.
  • Comfortable working across stakeholders (sales, product, engineering) to influence solution direction and remove blockers.

Preferred:

  • Experience with R and/or Python.
  • Knowledge of low-code AI tools.

The salary range for this position is 96,600 to 193,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
