As a Secretary you will assist our clinical team and patients by providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support, ensuring that patient referrals are processed accurately and efficiently. Your professionalism and excellent communication skills will help ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous and timely manner.

Working as part of a team the post-holder will assist the clinical team with the processing of patient referrals so they can access the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Managing the expectations of patients, their carers or guardians, providing a high standard of patient focused service. The post holder will proactively communicate relevant information between patients and their healthcare professional. To support the clinical team in the delivery of safe and efficient responses to patient requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Arranging of relevant appointments.
  • Checking for tasks, completing where possible and passing other tasks to relevant person.
  • Control all patient files and related admin to required quality standards and in line with information governance and DPA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records.
