Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers to join our incredible team in Askern, Doncaster. If you are looking to work on days, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life. Our service is home to individuals who require support with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. We need Support Workers to provide the physical and emotional support that our people we support need every day. This includes assistance with personal care, medication, finances, activities and everything else to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
- Relationship Building: Essential for gaining the trust of the people we support, establishing open communication, and building lasting relationships.
- Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively.
- Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Must be a driver and hold a manual driving licence.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- People who enjoy interactivity with the people we support.
- Days: Shifts Between 07:00-22:00
- Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00
- Must be flexible to cover weekends on a rota basis
- All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
